I’m Debbie, founder and creator at Deb’s Pottery Shack. Married and a proud mum of two, I first discovered pottery on a throwing course with my husband in 2021. What started as a fun weekend activity quickly became a passion, leading me to weekly classes and a home studio where I create every piece by hand. I cherish the craftsmanship and the art of creating pottery from scratch, blending skill with creativity to make items that are as practical as they are beautiful.
Hand-building is my preferred technique, allowing for intricate shapes, textures, and playful details, like my signature gonks. My pottery journey is a blend of self-teaching and inspiration from fellow artists, online tutorials, and a love for continuous learning. Every piece at Deb’s Pottery Shack is a reflection of this passion, crafted with care and personality that you won’t find in mass-produced items.
